Milkan is the debut feature film by Vahid Vakilifar, produced in autumn 2004 in the border regions of Kermanshah, using digital filmmaking technology. Prior to this, Vakilifar had directed the short film Vori (The Kurdish Scarf).

The film follows Ghaba, a jeep driver who makes a living by defusing and selling landmines left over from the war in the villages along the border. He gathers information about minefields by offering rides to soldiers stationed at remote border outposts and conversing with them. One day, he is given directions to a place called Milkan. Determined to reach it, he sets off to defuse the mines in that area.
